The Marshall County Road Manager is appointed by the Board of Supervisors to operate a county-wide road management system. Responsibilities of the county road manager are in accordance with Section 65-17-1 of the Mississippi Code.
Responcibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing the preliminary budget for road department operations
- Maintenance and construction of the county roads and bridges during the proposed year
- Up-keep and improvements to all county roads and bridges.
Drainage (culverts, ditching, curb & guttering)- Bridges
- Road Surface (paving & potholes)
- Mowing (rights-of-ways)
- Signage
- Trees (on rights-of-ways)
- Guardrail maintenance
